ORUIES: Object Oriented User Interface for Embedded Systems

This paper introduces the Object Oriented User Interface for Embedded Systems (ORUIES), which is based on the Architecture Description Language concept, specifically the Simulation Architecture Description Language (SADL) developed by NASA. ORUIES is a graphical interface which allows the user to draw directed graphs representing system components, and interprets these graphs according to user specifications. The system was built for modeling tasks in embedded systems, allowing the user to have a visual, multi-level system abstraction, with the addition of a textual output. ORUIES was designed using both Visual Basic. NET 2003 and 2005.
