A SHORT HISTORY OF FISH VACCINES AND THE INCREASING ROLE OF BIOTECHNOLOGY IN THEIR DEVELOPMENT

It is now some 25 years since the first fish vaccines were licensed and came into commercial use, and 15 years since the first fish vaccines were licensed in Europe. Since that time, the developments and advances in the field of fish vaccines have been nothing sort of spectacular. It is the purpose of this presentation to highlight some of these advances and milestones.
