THE USE OF BETAINE AND METHIONINE AS ATTRACTANTS IN DIET OF GRAND STURGEON HUSO HUSO FRY AND ITS EFFECTS ON GROWING FACTORS AND SURVIVAL RATE

摘要

Millions of beluga (Huso huso) has been artificially reared in Iranian hatcheries and then fingerlings weighed 3-5g released into the Caspian sea. It has never been farmed as marketable size or producing golden eggs but at the moment the new proposalis suggested to raising beluga in the riverside farms, outdoor tanks and terrestrial ponds or raceways, and cages. Studies on nutrition and feeding of beluga (grand sturgeon) are strongly needed because of increased interest from fish farmer due to producing meat and caviar. There is a big problem under artificial growing due to very poor vision for feeding intake in sturgeons. Therefore in this study we have tried to promote the feed intake in beluga by using some additive attractants to sturgeon feedstuffs for stimulating the chemoreception organs.
