Poly(2,6-dimethyl-1,4-phenylene oxide) (PPO) is a high-strength engineering plastics with the high transition glass temperature (Tg) of 210 deg C, and good dimensional stability. However, deficiencies such as brittleness, poor processability and solvent resistance prohibit it from a broader usage. 1 Current researches of PPO have been mainly focused on the alloy of PPO with polyamide 6 (PA 6).
