A mathematical model of an isotropic viscously elastic porous medium is studied in this paper. Cavities are spherical and are quasi-equally spaced in the medium. Distance between cavities is much larger than the average radius of cavities and in turn is much smaller than the length of the wave that propagates in the medium. Dependencies of velocity and damping of the wave on the porosity of the material have been established and analyzed. The phenomenon of nonlinear stationary wave of deformation propagation has been studied for the material.
