This summary covers a part of topics discussed in the working group 2; the muon physics and relevant R&D works. It reviews current status of muon programs, and shows the importance of the muon program in the future of particle physics. Several technological developments commonly interested in between the muon programs and the neutrino-factory programs were also discussed. The idea of "Staging" towards the neutrino factories will be shown.
