摘要

The electrochemical performance of a series of natural (SGC1 and SGC2) and synthetic graphite (MCMB) powders was investigated for their viability as anode materials in lithium ion batteries. The variations in the charge and discharge capacities can be qualitatively correlated to the structural and morphological differences. The specially treated natural graphite sample (SGC1) showed excellent capacity, relatively small irreversible capacity losses and a good rate capability.
