Five years of traceable electrical calibrations of AC temperature measuring devices

At the TEMPERATURE '98 Conference, the complete PTB set of instruments for the calibration of AC temperature measuring devices was presented for the first time [1]. Since then approx. 60 calibrations for DKD calibration laboratories, verification offices, manufacturers of temperature measuring devices, foreign state institutes and PTB laboratories have been carried out. The following contribution gives examples of the long-term behaviour of individual devices and shows how many of the devices tested did not comply with the manufacturer's specifications. Furthermore, it presents the new possibilities of calibration within the DKD.
