摘要

For the determination of moisture content and distribution in masonry with georadar, it is required to analyse the relationship between moisture content and electromagnetic wave penetration inside brick material. Therefore, the dielectric properties of different brick materials have been investigated systematically. The influence of moisture content, salt concentration, frequency and porosity was studied using impulse radar systems in transmission and reflection configuration with different antenna systems from 500 MHz to 7 GHz. The application of georadar for moisture investigation was demonstrated in a case study which was performed at the church of S. Maria Rossa in Milan, Italy.
