摘要

The experiment was conducted in a local steel plant in China which has large scale and advanced equipment in the production of OCTG steel. The alloy containing Mg was added before and after VD refining process respectively. The effect of the alloy adding time on the inclusion distribution was compared and the evolution of inclusions composition, morphology during the production process was investigated. Besides, the inclusion size distribution, average diameter and inclusion total number were analyzed. The results has a guiding significance for the improvement of OCTG steel.
