Biofilm is an inhomogeneous thin film-like matter on material surfaces. It is formed by bacterial activities and tends to incorporate not only water, but also silicon, calcium and other metal components. As a result, biofilm could be used for the separation of metal components from water phases. In this study, we devised an unique reaction container composed of water circulation system for biofilm formation. The system made it possible to form biofilm on any materials set in the column of the system, introducing germs in ambient atmosphere. The biofilm was observed and confirmed in various new ways e.g. alow pressure SEM-EDX and the morphology could be confirmed by an optical microscope 3D analyses. And we fixed by the SEM-EDX which elements tended to be incorporated into biofilm from clean water and how many they were under some experimental conditions.
