摘要

The results found in this study underline how cell isolation techniques can affect the osmotic response of isolated cells. Results are not only relevant to chondrocytes but potentially all cell types, especially those whose osmotic response has not yet been clearly characterized. One could also extrapolate these results to other cellular processes, necessitating caution when drawing conclusions from isolated cell behaviour.
