Development of High-Pressure Fuel Injection Tube for Common Rail Engine

Diesel engine increasingly draws keen attention in automotive industry because of its high heat efficiency with less exhaust of CO{sub}2 greenhouse effect gas. Further, in view of its energy-efficiency improvement and particle matters reductions from exhaust gas, higher-pressure fuel injection with common-rail system is a primary leading technology. Under such circumstances, practical fuel injection tubes for higher-pressure use have long been a key issue. By developing fuel injection tubes with higher pressure-fatigue strength, and establishing their quality evaluation system, we have been successful in supplying the high-pressure fuel injection tubes to worldwide customers.
