Exergy Analysis of a Typical Polygeneration System

摘要

Polygeneration is a promising system to make the best use of thermal energy with different qualities. A proposed methanol-IGCC cogeneration system was analyzed in this paper using exergy method to evaluate the specified system. The system contained typical chemical and dynamical processes so the energy analysis considered both the physical exergy and the chemical exergy. The analysis showed that the polygeneration system, which is based on clean coal technologies, is 2.7% more efficient than separate thermal and chemical systems.
