摘要

Power generation using geothermal energy available underthe earth's surface has been going on for six decades. Research and exploration has been going on since then to make geothermal power generation cost effective. Geothermal energy can also be used for other applications such space heating and production. A model has been developed in the present paper to use geothermal energy for electrical power generation, heating and cooling of building, and hydrogen production using electrolysis and thermal compression. It is concluded that using geothermal energy for building heating and hydrogen production is a cost effective process. The cost of low emissive hydrogen fuel produced by this process can be compared to that of regular gasoline.
