By the end of 2001, 196 geothermal production wells and 12 reinjection wells had been completed in Tianjin. Annual fluid production is 22 million tons, of which 1.7 million tons are reinjected. The water level is 40 to 100m deep and the annual drawdown rate is 6 to 9 meters. This paper examines a reinjection test in WR45 production/reinjection doublet system. No temperature changes have been observed so far in the neighboring production wells. Naturally, we expect the reinjection will eventually cool the reservoir. Tracer tests are consequently very important for estimating fluid transport paths and effective fluid volumes so that future reservoir cooling arising from reinjection can be estimated.
