We again stress that complexity measures of this class provide an empirical measure of signal behavior without an explicit indication of dynamical structure. While recognizing this limitation, we nonetheless conclude that measures of this type can be effective in identifying behaviorally dependent changes in multichannel EEGs. As will be described, these measures can then be used in the clinical signal classification problems of diagnosis and prognosis.
