Mobile devices and distributed applications are now widely used in various environments and this trend in pervasive computing is accelerating. This revolution in computing breaks down traditional personal . computers, where each machine is used by only its owner. Now computational resources can be shared by multiple users with various preferences and intentions. As a consequence, new security attacks emerged and the number of cyber-crimes is dramatically increasing. Traditional security solutions are no longer adequate for highly dynamic environments and the main challenge In the research field of security in pervasive computing is now to turn the vision towards adaptive, flexible and smart security policies. We believe that contextual information is the key for real-time reconfiguration of security policies. Future security solutions will rely on the combination of the two fields of security in pervasive systems and context-aware computing. This combination generates a new paradigm: context-based security. The aim of mis effort is to highlight the major challenges that will face the field of context-based security.
