HARMONIA: A TECHNICAL PROPOSAL FOR THE WIND POWER INTEGRATION INTO THE FRENCH ELECTRICITY NETWORK

This paper focuses on the characteristics of the interface between the Device for Operation Data Exchange (in French DEIE for "Dispositif d'echange d'information d'exploitation") from ERDF and the main controller of the wind farm by means of the Harmonia System. The Harmonia System, developed by Maia Eolis, offers a technical solution to ensure the observability and controllability of the wind farm in real time and date exchange with the control center of the Distribution Network Operator (DNO) through the DEIE. Harmonia is a completely modular equipment based on a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and is easily adapted to technical developments of a wind farm connected to the distribution network. In this way, our goal in this work is to share our experience about Harmonia and to demonstrate its contribution to improve the wind power integration into ERDF's electricity distribution networks.
