The wind development, by means of installation of wind farms, every day increase. It has been experienced in the last decade in all Europe and especially in Spain with an enormous advance. This growth of wind energy, means a big benefit as much social as economic (creation of a high number of qualified work positions, additional revenues for the municipalities and implied neighbours) and the development of an industry as support to wind energy highly qualified, that which has allowed Spain to be located in a position of leadership in an activity with strong component of technological innovation and clear future expectations. The current situation of the wind energy in Europe and Spain, has been result of several factors. In first place, the social and political understanding of the necessity of reducing the emissions of gases to the atmosphere that has been translated in numerous initiatives like the European White Book, the Plan of Development of the Renewable Energy of 2001 on the part of the Spanish government and finally the Treaty of Kyoto, where a great quantity of countries has assumed the commitment of motivating the renewable energy increasing its quota of electric generation by means of the use of these energy, like one of the ways to reduce the toxic emissions.
