Rationale for Recently Writing a Textbook 'First Course on Power Systems' with a Tightly-Integrated Software Laboratory

摘要

This paper describes the rationale for recently writing a textbook on First Course in Power Systems, in spite of many textbooks written over the years, and in use. By means of presenting the rationale for writing this textbook, this paper highlights the perceived shortcomings of traditional courses in Power Systems and proposes solutions to overcome them.
