A Method for the Sustainable Carbon Dioxide Utilization Process Synthesis and Design

1. A methodology has been developed to design sustainable captured CO2 utilization processes 2. A network of feasible reactions needed by this method has been developed 3. A database containing data for superstructure model has been created together with a search engine for easy extraction and addition of data 4. Application of the methodology is highlighted for Stage 2 and Stage 3, through 2 case studies: methanol and dimethyl carbonate (DMC) 4.1 Alternatives screened via logic and mathematical programming 4.2 It is feasible and sustainable under specific conditions to produce products via conversion process 5. Data needed for Stage 1 is currently under collection so that the full application of the method can be verified and highlighted
