Rankine Turbogenerators for Low Temperature Geothermal Wells

Traditionally, the exploitation of geothermal energy in the case of production of electric energy was limited to wells with a temperature largely in excess of 100 deg C. The minimum temperature value depends on a number of factors, namely the presence of a vapour phase, the amount of non condensable gases, the scaling characteristics of the fluid, the temperature of the cold side of the power cycle, the costs and the aleae of the wells, the economic value of the produced electricity.
