This paper reports the design of a simulator of container terminal activities called "the Multi-Agent System for Harbour activities" (MASH) based on Multi-Agent System (MAS) concept. A Container terminal represents the area of a harbour where handling activities take place. These activities concern exports, imports and the storage of containers. Such activities are serviced by the so-called handling teams. In many container terminals most simulator teams work seperatly, which entails loss of performance and reduction of terminal productivity. Our main objective is to provide a model for team co-operation in order to improve the performance and productivity of container terminals. In the first part we will discuss team co-operation, and in the second part we will present the MAS to enhance team cooperation, and finally we will discuss the learning stage in the Case-Based Reasonning.
