摘要

It is shown that at irradiation of hafnium in hydrogen environment by the accelerated electron beam of dose rate 0.3-1 Mrad/sec, the thermal-radiation synthesis of hafnium hydride occurs. Established is that at increase of irradiation dose, the temperature of sample raises up to 200-300°C after which a sharp jump of temperature is observed. Actually, the reaction Hf+H_2 proceeds in a thermal explosion regime. The mechanism of hafnium hydride formation in accelerated electron beam is obtained. It is shown that the characteristics of TRS do not depend essentially on irradiation dose rate. The phenomenon of cold synthesis of hafnium hydride is revealed. A superstoichiometric hydride of hafnium HfH_(2.42) is synthesized for the first time.
