摘要

A time dependent computational model, treating swash wave front as a moving boundary, is developed to provide a clear understanding of the two-dimensional sediment transport in the swash zone under non-breaking waves. Non-linear shallow water equations were used to calculate the swash hydrodynamics. The model enables one to calculate the particle trajectory as well as the sediment transport rate in the swash zone. Some quantitative equations are proposed through analysis of computational results. Findings of this study can be used to predict beach profile evolution.
