摘要

It is clear from the applications presented in this paper that working with hyperpolarized xenon has much to offer those who are interested in characterizing the void space in solids or its time dependence as the result of a process. The increase in sensitivity allows many experiments that otherwise would be far too tune consuming, and it also gives Xe NMR spectroscopy the unique capability of following non-equilibrium processes over times scales from fractions of a second to hours.
