Event Component for Minimization of Management Data Based on SNMP

With development of big multimedia, not only the types varying and size of user data increasing but also the network traffics are increasing. Besides the network to be complicated and the user is increasing, the managed node came to be many and also the reasoning being caused by network management data increased. For the user to want the network stably, the network management is necessary. But, when the data for the network management affected the network traffics. It is meaningless that network management by itself . Especially, Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) could have the overhead of network, if the number of the agent system which is managed by the management system is increased by the polling for the collection of network management information and the reply traffic for it. For the performance management, we have to reduce traffics, polling, reply latency time, etc. This paper proposes a new scheme for flexible polling that considers both the overhead of polling traffic and management system's processing. This paper will define communication method and managed information grouping in agent side components, scheduler in manager side components and for the minimizing of like this management data.
