Reliability and Efficiency of Messaging Mechanism in Web Services

Web Services applications need to send a lot of messages back-and-forth to request, provide, and receive various services. The reliable delivery of messages has been seen as crucial for a Web Services to serve as the primary infrastructure for heterogeneous interconnection of business processes. At the same time it is extremely important that messaging be efficient. This paper first discusses a prototype of messaging delivery based on the Web Service Reliable Messaging protocol to improve message creation or tracking. Then it presents a real-time processing model to improve the performance of reliable SOAP implementation, while the delivery is faced with the barrage of inefficiency. The efficiency of this reliable messaging mechanism is proved with detailed experiments and comparison.
