摘要

A novel lattice Boltzmann model for liquid crystal hydrodynamics is described. An orientational distribution function is newly introduced and its dynamics is modeled so that an efficient computer algorithm can be obtained. Further, the coupled dynamics between the orientation distribution function and the velocity distribution function, which is used in the standard lattice Boltzmann methods, is derived by introducing a self-consistent mean-field particle interaction modeled at the kinetic level. Phase separations simulated with the current model show various interesting behaviours.
