Various mono- and bi-component meltblown webs were produced by using Reicofil(~R) bi-component (bico) meltblown line at Textiles and Nonwovens Development Center (TANDEC), The University of Tennessee, Knoxville. In this paper, mono polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polytrimethylene terephthalate (PTT), and the bico PET/PP, PTT/PP webs at weight ratios of 25/75, 50/50, and 75/25 were examined by thermal dimensional stability. The effect of heat exposure on the web properties were also studied, which included fiber diameter, bulk density, air permeability, hydro-head, and drape.
