ThesConv: A Tool for Thesaurus Construction from Prearranged Lists

With the current availability of machine-readable dictionaries and a large collection of electronic prearranged lists, there is an interest in extracting knowledge automatically from these electronic resources. We built Thesaurus Converter (ThesConv) tool to construct a thesaurus from these lists. The tool will consider the structure of the list for providing accurate extraction of relationships and terms based on set of patterns. In our approach we use simple patterns to extract and find the relationships between the terms. By experimental evaluation we show that our approach returns accurate result.
