Fred Walker was Shipyard Manager of Hall Russell of Aberdeen for twelve years during which time he was responsible for 43 launches. After some years as Naval Architect of the National Maritime Museum, Greenwich he set up his current practice specialising in the build and design of replica ships and the restoration of historic vessels world wide.
