Gas Assist Molding Case Study Component: PP Golf Cart Canopy

Golf cart roofs have been traditionally either vacuum formed or blow molded. In this application gas assist molding has been used to improve the styling and aesthetics of a canopy whilst also integrating a number of details into the roof without the need for secondary operations. The paper will describe the methodology used in designing the part, the different gas process techniques used in production and the overall product benefits achieved.
