Harmony Products, Inc. ("Harmony"), Chesapeake, Virginia, has constructed a 65,000 ton annual capacity fertilizer manufacturing facility in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia for the purpose of converting poultry waste into premium fertilizers. Harmony Shenandoah Valley ("HSV"), was established as a subsidiary of Harmony Products, Inc. with the cooperation and participation of Rocco, Inc. Harrisonburg, Virginia and Duke Solutions, Charlotte, NC, the State of Virginia and local poultry growers who areproviding poultry manure as a raw material input to the facility. The HSV facility provides a beneficial alternative use for poultry manure, an organic waste stream that is facing increasing environmental regulatory pressure. Harmony Shenandoah Valley will operate as an efficient manufacturing facility for the production of high-value premium fertilizers.
