The deinking of mixed office waste (MOW) assisted by cellulase and hemicellulase combined with a -amylase was studied and an optimized deinking process was obtained in this paper. The results showed that treatment of MOW with Novozym 613, Novozym 476 together with xylanase and α-amylase obviously improved the deinking efficiency. The enzyme-assisted deinking of MOW resulted in improvement of deinked pulp quality which is at least comparable to that achieved by conventional chemical deinking in terms of physical strength and cleaner in respect to residual ink area.
