摘要

This paper deals with the development of a new machining method for 2-dimensional curved surface using small diameter CBN wheel with shaft ( named CBN quill). CBN quill essential parameters ( bond type and CBN grain toughness ) are selected. Related measures are introduced. They make CBN quill surface grinding process become a normal one under general conditions in which the wheel worn has been slowed down and ground surfaces roughness has been kept lower than R_z 5μm.
