Ladies and gentlemen, good morning. I propose to talk today about changes which are afoot in the global motor vehicle manufacturing industry and which will affect steelmakers for years to come. This section explores several of those major, strategic developments. During the past year or so the world's motor vehicle manufacturing industry has embarked upon a round of consolidation that has been long overdue and which has seen deals which have served merely to fuel speculation about the next two - or five - mergers and acquisitions. The pressure is on as seemingly never before to cut costs and optimise scale economies in vehicle manufacturing, as well as to offer customers all over the world as wide and complementary a range of and truck models a as possible.
