Modern distributed computer systems have opened new possibilities in production management, particularly such systems as the MRP II built as multiagent systems run in distributed environment - computer network. Due to negotiation of mobile agents, the management system may be decentralized and work as a distributed multi-agent system, which makes it possible to group virtual enterprises for cooperation. As the result, cooperation among enterprises may be realized automatically via network. The paper is aimed at showing design process of a multi-agent management system. The proposed system is the multi-agent MPR II system and supports decision process in an enterprise. Main advantages of agent approach, are distribution, modification, development perspective, calibration and cooperation. The management system based on multi-agent environment has implemented negotiation capabilities, what enables to create cooperation between two different systems.
