摘要

^7fPyrolyzer HG developed in our laboratory has been a new type flame retardant with an unprecedented mechanism of the flame-retardancy that is to advance the oxidative degradation of the polymer at the temperature of 300°C. For appearance of this mechanism, the surface of inorganic filler, aluminum hydroxide (ATH), has been treated with nitrate compound by means of Ishizuka original method of surface treatment. Containing only 50phr(parts per hundred resin) of this flame retardant, the polypropylene compound has been able to satisfy the V-2 of UL94 and record a value of 33 in 01. Due to this effect, a deterioration of mold ability and mechanical properties can be restrained. In addition, because Pyrolyzer HG possesses the features of low smoke density and low toxic gases, some of issues in a fire accident can been resolved.
