Thin film batteries have a number of potential applications for varying from MEMS to system on a chip. In this paper we investigate the rechargeable characteristic of LiMn-2O-4 thin film deposited on steel substrates. Various changes in microstructure were observed as a result of different deposition parameters. The effect of different microstructures on the electrochemical properties of the Li-Mn-O thin films grown on stainless steel has been investigated.
