A new technology for production of large-size discs for high power augmentation gas turbine engines

VILS's technology for production of PM Ni-base superalloy disks and shafts for aireralt and rocket engines was a noticeable contribution to engine progress. For the last 18 years more than 45,000 commercial disks and shafts including 2000 for civil aircraft have been supplied to experimental design offices and plants. To this day these reliable components are in service.
