摘要

Careful growth control during chemical vapor deposition makes it possible to obtain various morphologies of carbon fibers: from normal vapor-grown carbon fibers (VGCFs) through submicron VGCFs to nanofibers or carbon nanotubes. The combined effects of excellent physical properties and low production costs have spurred applications research for these fibers in various fields.
