Answering the additional topic requirement of low emission values,Nitroil~(R)Performance Chemicals has developed solutions that are not only optimized in their ageing behaviour,especially hydrolysis,but also partially avoid the typical amine smell from catalysts.In close cooperation with automotive suppliers,two products have been developed and tested under industrial conditions and performed well in flowability and open cell content as well as in accelerated ageing tests:The humid ageing compression set(HACS),as an indication parameter for hydrolysis-related ageing,is hardly affected-it often prevented many low-VOC products from being accepted by the automotive supplying industry.In addition,disturbing odors from the catalyst itself can be considerably reduced.
