With the rising popularity of cotton denim fabric,cotton denim fabric is a causal symbol in daily life and the awareness of the aesthetic appearance factors for the denim fabric is arising up and become a hot issue. Enzyme treatment being an environmentally friendly process has become a commonly used process in modifying the surface appearance of the cotton denim fabric [1]. Enzymes are classified in two categories,i.e. acidic and neutral,for treating the cotton denim fabric. Acidic enzyme can achieved a better treatment result but may affect the tensile strength of the cotton denim fabric due to the hydrolysis of the cellulose. However,treatment with neutral enzyme can preserve the tensile strength of the cotton denim fabric. Therefore,the aim of this paper is to study the influence of the processing parameters of enzyme under neutral condition of the cotton denim fabric property. The weight loss will be the fabric property selected in this study because the changes in fabric weight will affect the end uses of the fabric.
