摘要

Living ring opening polymerization (ROP) of cyclic esters provides efficient routes for the synthesis of poly(ester)s with high levels of ontrol over the molecular parameters of the resultant polymers ncluding molecular weight,polydispersity and stereochemistry.1 In addition to the control over the physical properties,living polymerization techniques enable the control over the functionality of he polymer chains,both through application of functional monomers and the high levels of end-group fidelity. While control of the ?-chain end is possible by the application of suitably functionalized initiating pecies,the ?-chain end is commonly functionalized by post- polymerization modification of the resultant hydroxyl chain end.
