Halloysite aluminosilicate nanotubes with a 30 nm lumen, 60 nm external diameter and length of 0.2-1um has been developed as a reinforcing additive to PP, PA6 & PE composites. Below, we highlight a summary of these novel findings: The utilization of this select grade of Halloysite, under trade name "Dragonite XT"as an additive in polymer composites utilizing ultra-low loadings of 0.5 - 2.0 % can deliver significant improvements in mechanical, thermal and physical properties.
