Runoff using, a tipping bucket system, an RBC flume, and an Ultrasonic Doppler Instrument was measured in plots, sub-catchments and catchments in Cameron Highlands agroecosystems. Runoff in the plots ranged from 93 mm under a rain shelter to 1521 mm in open farming during three cropping seasons. Average discharges are 10.65. 1.7, 0.2, 0.1 and 0.009 cumecs for Telom catchment, Bertam catchment, flower sub-catchment, tea sub-catchment, and jungle sub-catchment respectively. The study shows that soil losses from forests and tea sub-catchment are negligible from a rain-shelter plot is 1.12 t/ha/yr, and from a vegetable area is 83 t/ha/yr.
