We have developed experimental system for study of ion-induced nucleation in SO2/H2O/N2 gas mixture employing soft x-ray under different pressure and temperature. It was demonstrated that the charged particles concentration decreased as the pressure decreased, due to the decrease of gas density. However, the nucleation rate increases as the decrease of temperature. Further investigations are needed since the relative humidity (RH) also increases as the decrease of temperature which gives significant effect on nucleation rate. Furthermore, detailed study of pressure, temperature, RH, SO2 concentration and irradiation dose dependence of ion-induced nucleation will be investigated in the near future.
