Intelligent material and structure is a newly raised synthetic borderline science. It is a material system or structure in which sensors, activators and control devices are assembled together to give the component some intelligent functions and life characters, such as self-diagnosis of its health, self-adaptation of the environment, and self-repairing of the damage.
